Lakewood Church Women's Ministry Fall Fashion Show 2010
Latest happenings at LOLA Catering + Events
We are gearing up for our biggest event of the year! Lakewood Church Women's Ministry will host their annual Fall Fashion Show on October 1st. "An evening in Spain" is the theme this year and LOLA Catering + Events will once again be the selected caterer!

Have you ever tried our Shrimp Cocktail and wondered how we make it so tangy and delicious? Or maybe you've just seen this great photo on our website and wondered what it was? Well, for our first recipe we will feature one of our classics:
Boiled Shrimp with Tangy Texas Cocktail Sauce!
Shrimp Marinade:
3 tbsp seeded fine diced jalapenos
1 tbsp minced garlic
2tbsp chopped cilantro
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp coarse salt
few dashes white pepper
4 lbs. 21/25 count cold boiled shrimp
Mix together first six ingredients and toss with boiled shrimp 30 minutes before serving.
Cocktail Sauce:
2 cups ketchup
1/4 cup horseradish
1/2 cup lime juice
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
1/2 cup fine diced red onion
1/2 cup seeded and fine diced jalapeno
few dashes tobasco
Mix together and serve with marinated shrimp.
Presentation:
Individual- Spoon cocktail sauce into a shot glass, "hang" 1-2 pieces shrimp over the edge and garnish with a thin slice lemon wedge and single chive.
Display- Fill a large bowl with ice. Place a smaller bowl in the center and fill with cocktail sauce. arrange the shrimp on top of the ice with lime wedges and whole jalapenos as garnish.
*recipe can be halved
